Italy….
I’m so sorry….It’s been so long…I wanted to write you every day but something always came up, the sun will come up and go down faster than either side can even blink…I am so sorry. This is the first chance I’ve gotten in what feels like ages….But you’re not waiting for them, so I guess it’s not that bad…And when you do read it, I guess you’ll have less to read, I know you never liked reading anyway….But I can’t spend too much more time writing, we need to get moving….I’m so sorry that it took so long, please forgive me…………..And I guess because you’re not getting these yet, is why you haven’t been praying…or maybe God’s just too busy right now to make our absence shorter, but someday this war will be over and I’ll be right there with you!!

We’re going to reunite, and I will kiss you like I did, and we’ll get married!  We don’t even have to become like the Roman Empire, just knowing you’re by my side forever is enough, I don’t want to expand anymore I just want to be close to your and never leave your side….

Italy…

The war has gotten very tiresome; all I do is fight and think of you.  I don’t even know how long it’s been anymore, other than much too long. I’m sorry I can’t write to you more, but I need to be focusing right now…..I’ll write more next time! I promise! 

Oh and keep that praying up! It’d be a shame for someone as pretty and innocent as you to lose their faith over an idiot guy like me…I’m sorry it’s taking so long…But I know I’ll see you soon!  Until then……………..

I miss you more and more every day! I’m sorry I couldn’t write you a letter yesterday, I was a bit busy and I keep loosing track of the time. The minutes seem so long, I feel like two days ago when I left you has been months, I fear of change, I don’t want  your love to fade, and I don’t want you to forget me…I guess if you, it can’t be helped, but at least try not to! Wait for me….

I’m waiting for you…waiting for your smile. I can’t wait to hold you in my arms and to kiss you like the way I did before I left, only this one will be a happy kiss, one of return and not of departure, one that will make up for my absence and the loss of time! 

…We’ll al be together again, I can’t wait.

I want you to fold your hands, and bow your head and pray as hard as you can every night that this war will end soon! Very soon! So we can be together like that…The outcome of war looks so much happier when I imagine that end, coming back to you all, especially you! It makes my will to win this war….so much greater…So please…pray.

I keep thinking about that kiss. I can’t seem to get it off my mind; or you in general.  I want nothing more than to be beside you, we’re only getting started and I’m already tired of this war…I want to be beside you, holding hands, protecting you from a distance that is not so great.  I want to see your smiling face, and I think of my return; then we will smile together!  I hate thinking of your tears, I want to lift your pain away.  It is even worse to know that I am the one who caused them…

I really miss you Italy….but I wonder…..
